To Succeed in College !

At Farmingdale State College (FSC), we want to help ALL students to succeed.The Farmingdale First program is just one of the many FREE services available to assist  first-generation, low income and disabled students with  academic and social support...so that you can graduate and go on to pursue your career and life ambitions.

A TRiO program funded by the U.S. Department of Education.  We serve first generation, low income, and disabled students at FSC by providing the support you need to  stay in school, finish your degree and (if desired) pursue graduate study. We are a selective program limited to 180 FSC students per year.  We seek eligible students who are ready and willing to participate actively in our program to improve their chances for college success.


Research has shown that students who make strong, meaningful connections with faculty, staff, and other students early in their college careers tend to have higher rates of degree completion than those who do not. We use our experience and expertise to help you achieve at your highest potential while navigating the challenging terrain of college life.
