As part of the Farmingdale First Program, all students are required to author and/or enhance an Internet-based portfolio (e-Portfolio). The information that follows will serve as a guideline towards completion of the e-Portfolio and web pages specified by your course instructor to be included in this virtual environment.
These guidelines are not designed to limit creativity or tell the student how to design the web pages of e-Portfolio. The emphasis behind this web-authored project is a learning and reflective tool to be academically qualified and help students to develop a virtual presence for future career purposes, too. As these web pages have a global interface, it is important to adhere to certain web authoring industry and education principles for online published material. In following these minimum guidelines, some standardization of ePortfolios will exist.
